Arrests

MEADOWMERE-At 3 p.m. on March 7 at a warehouse store on Rockaway Turnpike, Harsad P. Patel, 53, of Long Beach, was arrested for shoplifting, authorities said.

VALLEY STREAM-On March 10 at 11:35 a.m. at a home improvement store on Green Acres Road, Stanley Gilchrist, 54, of Inwood, was arrested for shoplifting, officials said.

Larceny — from auto

LAWRENCE-Between 11:30 and 11:50 a.m. on March 8 on Rockaway Boulevard, a man’s car was ransacked and children’s clothing was stolen, according to police.

CEDARHURST-On Oxford Court between 6 p.m. on March 6 and 11 a.m. on March 7, a woman’s car was ransacked and property was stolen, police said.

Criminal mischief

HEWLETT-Between March 9 at 6 p.m. and March 10 at 7 a.m. on Siesta Court, the driver’s side front tire on a car was punctured, authorities said.
