Syd and Diane Mandelbaum, who operate Cedarhurst-based Rock and Wrap It Up! an anti-poverty think tank that runs a few programs, met with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne prior to the rock singer’s show at the Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 17.

The Mandelbaums thanked Sharon for assisting with the Mardi Bra program that supplies feminine hygiene products to at-risk teenage girls and women. Ozzy voiced his support for the newly established Feed the Veterans program that aids poverty-stricken military veterans.

The Osbournes, who have two grandchildren as do the Mandelbaums, have supported Rock and Wrap It Up! for more than 20 years.
