Fair Uniondale man arrested in Hewlett for public lewdness

A man in a 2004 Ford Econoline van pulled alongside a school bus on Peninsula Boulevard in Hewlett and exposed himself to two young girls on Dec. 16 and 20, according to police.
On Wednesday at 8 a.m., Alcides Galdamez, 33, of Krull Stret in Uniondale, was seen next to another school bus at the same location. He was stopped by police and arrested.
Galdamez is charged with six counts of endangering the welfare of a child and half a dozen counts of public lewdness and unlicensed operation of a vehicle. He was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday.
