Cheveux Day Spa and Salon in Woodmere hosted “Salon for Sibs”, where 15 children and 15 mothers who are part of SIBSPlace were treated to haircuts, manicures, pedicures, mini massages and face painting during a three-hour event on June 28.

SIBSPlace is a program run out of South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside that helps children who have siblings or a parent with cancer or another devastating illness. In addition to the spa’s generosity, food was donated by Bagelo, flowers by Debbie Flowers and there was balloons and goody bags.

“We live in a caring and giving community and programs such as SIBSPlace of South Nassau Communities Hospital are forever grateful,” said SIBSPlace Director Suzanne Kornblatt.
