Camp Anchor’s Kiwanis Aktion Club took first place in the scrapbook category at the recent Kiwanis state convention.
The Aktion Club, helps adults living with disabilities to take part in community service projects, gain leadership skills and become more involved in society. The club is a partnership between Peninsula Kiwanis and the Town of Hempstead. There are 80 Aktion clubs across New York state.
