Peace Day was celebrated by the 431 students, along with teachers and administrators at the Number Two School on May 31.

The day’s activities were the culmination of the school’s Social Emotional Learning program for the year. Lyle Cohen performed her anti-bullying “Sticks and Stones” program. Students were read the book “Peace Week in Miss Fox’s Class,” and a lesson followed.

Students had worked on making blankets that were donated to Cohen’s Children’s Hospital. Faiga Brick, a hospital representative, was presented with the blankets. Money for the blankets were donated by school staff and students.
