B'nai B'rith youth have more than just modeling clothes on their mind

Fashinon show in Hewlett raises $500 for Camp Sunrise

The clothes went on and came off behind the scenes, students strutted down the runway and $500 was raised by the Sababa BBG of the B’nai B’rith Youth Organization (BBYO) in conjunction with Zion AZA at the groups’ annual fashion show that took place at Congregation Beth Emeth in Hewlett on April 22.

BBYO is a non-profit organization that brings teenagers together from around the globe to learn about their Jewish heritage and help make the world a better place.

The money raised will be donated to Sunrise Day Camp, a summer camp for children with cancer that they attend with their siblings. For the past few years Sababa BBG has donated more than a $1,000 to Camp Sunrise. Food was also served, jewelry was sold and raffle prizes were auctioned off at the event.
