Boy struck in Woodmere

A 12-year old boy was struck, then pinned under a Chevrolet Suburban at the intersection of Irving Place and Broadway in Woodmere at 6:45 p.m. on July 7.

Nassau County police and the Woodmere Fire Department removed the boy from under the vehicle and he was taken via Nassau County Police helicopter to Nassau University Medical Center in serious condition. The police are continuing to investigate.
