Overcast No injuries in Burlington Coat Factory fire in Lawrence

The roof of the Burlington Coat Factory caught fire and forced the store and nearby stores to evacuate on Nov. 6.

No injuries were reported after a roof fire at the Burlington Coat Factory on Rockaway Turnpike in Lawrence resulted in the building and adjacent stores to be evacuated.
Nassau plice said the call came in at 12:45 p.m. on Nov. 6.
The Lawrence-Cedarhurst and Inwood fire departments responded to the scene as well as police.
Burlington reopened, police said.
