Cedarhurst resident recognized for community service

Jeff Leb, from Cedarhurst, was honored by the 41st Assembly District Democrats Club at the group’s annual dinner-dance at Congregation Beth Shalom in Brooklyn on April 6.

Leb received the organization’s Community Service-Lifetime Achievement Award. He is the president of Capitol consulting and was previously the managing director of UJA-Federation New York, state political director of the Orthodox Union-OUAdvocacy and the executive director of the Sephardic Community Federation.

He was one of five people recognized at the dinner, including Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein (D-Sheepshead Bay), who was named Public Servant of the Year.
