The annual Israel Day Parade proceeded up Fifth Avenue in Manhattan from 57th to 74th streets for five hours on June 3. This year’s theme “70 and Sabada” (awesome) celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Jewish state.
Thousands watched and many schools from across the metropolitan area, including several from Long Island and the Five Towns took part. Groups from A — the American Jewish Congress to Z — Zionists of America marched.
