Far Rockaway man arrested for Inwood robbery

Yusef Britton, 22, of Far Rockaway, one of the two men who allegedly robbed the Fazieah Smoke Shop on Sheridan Boulevard in Inwood on Sept. 22 was arrested, police said.

Two men entered the store on that Wednesday after 11 p.m., and the man not yet apprehended allegedly showed a handgun and demanded money, according to police. The two employees in the store at the time handed over an unspecified amount of money. There were no customers at the time and no one was injured. 

Britton is charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree robbery. Arraigned on Dec. 12, his next court date is Dec. 14. Joseph Megale, of Hempstead, is representing Britton, who remains in custody on $50,000 bond or $25,000 cash that was not posted. The court issued a temporary restraining order.
