Far Rockaway woman arrested for Woodmere robbery

Housekeeper admitted to stealing cash, jewelry and silverware valued at $42,000

Police arrested a Far Rockaway woman on June 18 for allegedly stealing approximately $10,000 worth of jewelry and silverware from a Woodmere home between January of 2011 and June 16.

Osmina Guzman, 45, of Caffery Avenue, was employed as a housekeeper for a Lark Court residence. When the police interviewed Guzman, she admitted that as a housekeeper for homes on Arlington Road in Cedarhurst and Howard Avenue in Woodmere she stole jewelry and cash totaling $32,000.

Guzman is charged with three counts of grand larceny-third degree and was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on June 19.
