Fatal vehicle crash in Woodmere

A crash of a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of Peninsula and Woodmere boulevards in Woodmere at 2:12 p.m. on July 7 resulted in the death of the motorcyclist.

Louis Cisario, 24, of Lawrence was driving a 2004 Honda motorcycle heading east on Peninsula Boulevard when he collided with a 1999 Toyota Corolla that was making a left turn onto Woodmere Boulevard, police said.

Cisario was taken to by Nassau County ambulance to Franklin Medical Center in Valley Stream, where he was pronounced dead at 2:39 p.m.

The operator of the car was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside. The crash closed Peninsula Boulevard to traffic in both directions from Mill Road in Hewlett to Woodmere Boulevard for a couple of hours.

No criminal charges were filed.
