The Leon Mayer Fund in collaboration with Kosher Response distributed food to nearly 300 local families for Passover outside of Stella K. Abraham High School for Girls in Hewlett Bay Park on March 21.
Founded by Rabbi Simcha Lefkowitz, the Woodmere-based Leon Mayer Fund helps those in need.
Kosher Response, a charitable program founded by Hewlett resident Gabriel Boxer in response to the coronavirus pandemic, has spent the past year helping to ensure that people in need have access to food.
