Light Rain Fog/Mist Fire damages Inwood house on Clinton Avenue

An Inwood house at 13 Clinton Ave. was damaged by fire, but no injuries were reported.

Six fire departments responded to a house fire at 13 Clinton Ave. in Inwood at 3 p.m. on Dec. 24, officials said.
Inwood fire and emergency medical service volunteers received an initial report that people were trapped in the house.
Lawrence-Cedarhurst and Woodmere deputy chiefs entered the house and began a search. The occupants had gotten out, officials said. No injuries were reported.
Hewlett, Meadowmere Park and Long Beach departments as well as Hatzalah ambulance also responded to the scene.
The Elmont and Valley Stream departments covered the 3rd Battalion West area.
