Mostly Cloudy Firefighters rescue pinned driver in Lawrence

Lawrence-Cedarhurst firefighters removed a motorist who was pinned in their car after losing control of the vehicle.

After a motorist lost control of their car firefighters from the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department stabilized the car that landed on its side in a yard on Broadway near Arrowhead Lane in Lawrence after 4 a.m. on Dec. 23, then extricated the driver who was stuck in the windshield, according to officials at the scene.
A few trees and a fence was cut down to rescue the injured driver, who was taken to a local hospital by Nassau County police ambulance. Police were investigating the cause of the accident.
