Five arrested selling alcohol to a minor in the Five Towns

Four men and one woman were arrested at four different stores for allegedly selling alcoholic beverages, including liquor or beer, to an underage agent in the Five Towns on July 6, police said.

Beginning at 7:45 p.m., police arrested Luis Infante, 24, of Inwood and Mohamed Ghazali, 18, of Far Rockaway, at the Landmark Deli in Inwood; Patel Jayantibhai, 58, of Lawrence, at Circle A Foods; Xuemei Yu. 49, of Queens, at John Q Wine and Liquor in Hewlett and Musa Muflehi, 21, of Far Rockaway, at the Bayview Deli in Inwood.

Infante is charged with unlawfully dealing with a child. Ghazali is charged with criminal solicitation-fifth degree. Jayantibhai, Yu and Muflehi are charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage.

All five were released on desk appearance tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on July.
