Five Towns Community Chest helps its neighbors

At its fourth annual Neighbors in Need concert at the Woodmere Club on Nov. 21, Woodmere-based Five Towns Community Chest raised money to assist families in need and honored the volunteer efforts of Craig and Elisha Spatz and the work of the Woodmere Club Charitable Foundation headed by Adam Russell.

More than 210 attended the event that included an auction with some unique items such as high-tech law enforcement training. That 70s Band provided the musical entertainment. Community Chest went right to work and delivered 170 turkeys to schools and service agencies along with more than 100 gift cards to supermarkets to help families celebrate Thanksgiving.
