Five Towns Crime Watch

INWOOD-Ephraim S. McCLean, 33, of Beach 12th Street in Far Rockaway, was charged on March 11 with two counts of burglary-third degree for his role in two burglaries, police said.

On June 24, McClean and a man yet to be arrested, entered the Manhattan Medical Practice at 270 Doughty Blvd. and took a computer, police said. The pair also entered South Shore Medical Associates at 211 Doughty Blvd. and took a tray of catered food, according to police.

The other man is described as white, 5-feet, 8-inches in height and weighing 220 pounds. Police ask anyone with information about these crimes to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-8477. All calls are kept confidential.

INWOOD-Michael S. Jones, 30, of the Bronx, was arrested for the theft of a dozen cans of Red Bull energy drink from a drug store on Burnside Avenue on March 12 at 5:36 p.m., officials said.

Larceny

NORTH WOODMERE- A cell phone was taken from a vehicle parked on Longview Avenue between March 9 and 10 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., authorities said.

LAWRENCE-GPS and floor mats were taken from a vehicle while it was parked on Causeway Avenue between March 11 and 12 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., police said. The front window was also damaged.

INWOOD-A bicycle was stolen from in front of a residence on West End Avenue on March 13 at 5 p.m., according to police.

Criminal Mischief

CEDARHURST-On March 8 between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. damage was reported to a vehicle parked on Central Avenue, authorities said.

CEDARHURST-Damage to the rear door window and doorknob of a home on Westminster Road was reported by a resident at 5 p.m. on March 12, officials said.

LAWRENCE- Using home surveillance video a resident saw a person kick the front door of a Washington Avenue residence on March 10 at 2:25 p.m., police said.

WOODMERE- The hood of a parked vehicle in a driveway on Brower Avenue was damaged on March 13 between 1 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to police.

HEWLETT BAY PARK- A boat that is maintained on a property on Meadowview Avenue was damaged between March 11 and 12 from 8 p.m. and 7 a.m., authorities said.

Identity theft

INWOOD-On March 11 at 10 a.m., a resident of Mott Avenue reported that a fraudulent cell phone account was opened in their name, officials said.

NORTH WOODMERE-At noon on March 9, an Eagle Drive resident reported that an unknown person tried to make fraudulent purchase using a credit card closed in 2009, police said.
