Grand larceny

LAWRENCE-On April 15 at 10 a.m., an unknown person stole a handbag and credit cards from the shopping cart of a person shopping at a Central Avenue business, according to police.

Larceny

ATLANTIC BEACH-Officials said an El Dorado Street resident reported a dining room table missing from their garage at noon on April 12.

HEWLETT-Authorities said a Prospect Avenue resident reported a central air condenser unit stolen from their home on April 12 at 6 p.m.

LAWRENCE-A Washington Avenue resident reported two sealed UPS boxes containing roses stolen from outside their residence at 5 p.m. on April 13, police said.

Criminal mischief

HEWLETT-Police said a victim’s driver side window on their vehicle was damaged, while parked on Seawane Drive at 1 p.m. on April 13.

Identity theft

CEDARHURST-A Weyant Drive resident reported a fraudulent cell phone account was opened in their name on April 8 at noon, according to authorities.

NORTH WOODMERE-Officials said a Tolfax Place resident reported a fraudulent credit card account opened in their name on April 11 at 5:30 p.m.

WOODMERE-According to police, a Hartwell Place resident reported multiple fraudulent transactions made with their debit card on April 9 at 7 p.m.

WOODMERE- Police said a Stanton Avenue resident received a call stating they had won a large sum of money and needed to give their credit card number in order to get the money. After giving the unknown caller their credit card information, the victim noticed multiple unauthorized transactions on the supplied credit card on April 14 at 6 p.m.

WOODMERE-A Burton Avenue resident reported being the victim of identity theft after multiple unauthorized transactions were made to their credit card on April 3 at 8 p.m., officials said.
