Arrested

CEDARHURST-John McDonough, 47, of Woodmere, was arrested for driving while intoxicated at the intersection of Central and Cedarhurst avenues at 1:50 a.m. on Oct. 20.

Burglary

ATLANTIC BEACH-Fourth Squad detectives arrested Walter Fryer, 35, of East Pine Street, in Long Beach, on Oct. 25 at 4:40 p.m. for the alleged robbery of an Atlantic Beach residence.

Fryer illegally entered the house and was found inside when the 67-year-old woman resident returned home, police said. He tried to hold her in the house, however she managed to get outside and fled to the safety of her vehicle and notified the police, according to authorities.

Police found Fryer in the house and arrested him. There were no injuries. He was charged with burglary-second degree and was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Oct. 26.

Larceny

INWOOD-A GPS was stolen from a vehicle parked on Bayview Avenue between 9 p.m. on Oct. 18 and 7:15 a.m. on Oct. 19, police said.

HEWLETT-On Oct. 21 at 6 p.m., a digital camera, GPS and sunglasses were taken from a vehicle parked on Franklin Avenue, according to police.

INWOOD-A bicycle was stolen from the side of a residence on Yale Street at 1:10 a.m. on Oct. 23, authorities said.

WOODMERE-Between 11 p.m. on Oct. 23 and 8 a.m. on Oct. 24, an iPhone charger and $35 was taken from a vehicle parked on Mora Place, officials said.

WOODMERE-On Oct. 23 between 1 and 7 a.m., an EZ Pass and $10 was stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway on Kirby Avenue, police said.
