Arrest

NORTH WOODMERE – Nathaniel Grant Jr. 38, of Brooklyn, was arrested for shoplifting from a department store on Rockaway Turnpike at 2 p.m. on Feb. 23.

Larceny

CEDARHURST – Assorted papers and a wool jacket were stolen from a vehicle parked on Clinton Avenue at 3:45 a.m. on Feb. 23, police said. The side window of the vehicle was also damaged.

WOODMERE – The glass from the side view mirrors of a vehicle parked at the Long Island Rail Road station was taken on Feb. 17 at 9 p.m., according to police.

LAWERNCE – At 10 a.m. on Feb. 25, an iPhone was stolen from a table inside a fast food restaurant on Rockaway Turnpike, authorities said.

Criminal mischief

INWOOD – The passenger side window of a vehicle parked on John Street was damaged between 10 p.m. on Feb. 22 and 7 a.m. on Feb. 23, officials said.

HEWLETT – Between 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 and 6 a.m. on Feb. 25, the rear window of vehicle parked on Broadway was damaged, police said.

Identity theft

ATLANTIC BEACH – On Feb. 10 at noon, a resident of Daytona Street reported that multiple fraudulent purchases were made on their credit card.

CEDARHURST – A resident of Albemarle Road reported on Feb. 27 that multiple credit cards were fraudulently opened in their name.
