Arrests

NORTH WOODMERE – Robert Coleson, 24, of Brooklyn, along with a juvenile, was arrested for shoplifting at a department on Rockaway Turnpike at 2 p.m. on April 5, authorities said.

Grand larceny

LAWRENCE – Between April 5 at 3 p.m. and April 9 at 7 a.m., 10 parking meters throughout the village were opened and an internal mechanism was removed that caused them to stop working, police said.

Petit larceny

CEDARHURST – On April 5 at 8 a.m., the owner of a business on Central Avenue reported a recurring problem of newspapers being stolen, according to police.

NORTH WOODMERE – At 3 p.m. on April 4, it was reported that a high-definition camcorder, memory card and a case were stolen from a vehicle parked on Hungry Harbor Road, officials said.

CEDARHURST – A bicycle was taken from the backyard of a home on Grove Avenue between April 6 at 3 p.m. and April 9 at 5 p.m., police said.

Criminal mischief

INWOOD – The driver’s side door of a vehicle parked on Roosevelt Avenue was scratched between April 3 at 4 p.m. and April at 10 a.m., according to police.

CEDARHURST –On April 2, four windows of a house on Atlantic Avenue were damaged on April 2 after midnight, authorities said.

HEWLETT – A rock was thrown at the window of a vehicle parked on Broadway at 9:58 p.m. on April 7, officials said.

LAWRENCE – Between April 8 at 10 p.m. and April 9 at 8 a.m., the passenger side of a vehicle parked on Frost Lane was damaged, police said.

CEDARHURST – A vehicle parked on Westminster Road was scratched by someone using a key on April 9 between 9:45 and 11:30 a.m., according to police.

Identity theft

CEDARHURST – A resident of Buckingham Road reported that fraudulent transactions were made with their ATM card between March 28 at 9 a.m. and April 10 at 10 a.m., authorities said.
