Arrests

HEWLETT - Jane Cramerscheriff, 56, of Long Beach, was arrested for shoplifting at a department store on Broadway at 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 9, police said.

Burglary

CEDARHURST- A man dressed in black clothing and wearing gloves and a mask threw a brick through the front glass door of the AT&T store at 316 Rockaway Turnpike in Cedarhurst at 3:15 a.m. on Aug. 15, police said.

He entered the store for a brief time, but left without taking anything, according to police. He was last seen walking north on Rockaway Turnpike.

Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 244-8477. All calls remain confidential.

On Aug. 12, two men wearing dark colored clothes tossed a chunk of concrete through the front glass door of the Radio Shack at 525 Central Ave. in Cedarhurst. Both men also entered that store for a short amount of time and took nothing.

Larceny

WOODMERE - Personal papers and $10 were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked on Edward Avenue between 8 p.m. on Aug. 8 and 12:45 a.m. on Aug. 9, officials said.

CEDARHURST - Ten dollars was stolen from a vehicle while it was parked on Cedarwood Drive at 4:34 a.m. on Aug. 10, according to police.

WOODMERE - Thirty dollars was removed from an unlocked vehicle parked on Forest Avenue between 10 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 5:20 a.m. on Aug. 10, officials said.

HEWLETT - A flashlight was taken from a vehicle parked on Hewlett Avenue between 11 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 10, police said.

WOODMERE - A GPS and $20 were stolen from a vehicle parked on Glen Drive between 11 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 9:20 a.m. on Aug. 10, authorities said.

WOODMERE – An unspecified amount of change was removed from an unlocked vehicle parked on Eastwood Road between 7 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 7 a.m. on Aug. 10, officials said.

CEDARHURST - A sweater and $30 was taken from a vehicle parked on Carlyle Street between 9:30 p.m. on Aug. 11 and 6:15 a.m. on Aug. 12, police said.

Criminal mischief

CEDARHURST - A vehicle parked on Bryant Street between 10 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 10 was scratched along the driver’s side, according to police.
