The class was comprised of both didactic sessions as well as practical evolutions. The students learned the fundamentals and advanced technical procedure surrounding operating in cold water and ice environments within the Incident Command System.
Practical skills included: self rescue, shore based and “live bait” contact rescue techniques and becoming familiar with the equipment used in this type of technical rescue deployment.
