Five Towns students named to the dean's list

Atlantic Beach resident Lucas Candella made the dean’s list for the fall semester at Loyola University in Maryland. To qualify students must attain a minimum quality point average of 3.5 and successfully completed at least 15 credits for the term.

Max G. Berman and Ellen Park, both from Woodmere, are on the dean’s list at Boston University for the fall semester. Each school and college at Boston University has their own criterion for his honor, but students generally must attain a 3.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), or be in the top 30 percent of their class, as well as a full course load as a full time student.

These students made the fall semester dean’s list at Binghamton University. This distinction recognizes students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The Rochester Institute of Technology has Woodmere residents Ari Bernstein, who is studying in the web and mobile computing program, and Tom Slavin, who is studying in the game design and development program, and Jason Kirshner from Hewlett, an information technology major, of the fall dean’s list.

Students must achieve a GPA of 3.4 or higher, have no incomplete, D or F grades and registered for at least 12 credit hours.
