With Tropical Storm Henri dumping heavy rain across Long Island a flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service for Nassau County through 7:15 p.m. on Sunday,
Long Island sidestepped a direct landfall strike of the storm that hit Eastern Long Island and New England harder. The tropical storm warning for the bi-county region remains in effect, according to NWS.
As of 2 p.m., Henri was five miles north of the western part of Rode Island with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph.
In the Five Towns, a few roads were reported flooded during the day, including a section of West Broadway.
As of 4:45 p.m., PSEG Long Island reported one power outage with less than five customers affected in the Five Towns.
