Overcast and Breezy Franklin Early Childhood Center students help those in need

Kindergarten students at the Franklin Early Childhood Center collected coats and donated them to the Boys and Girls Club in Far Rockaway. Teacher Stacy Sommer kept count as the kids put the coats in a box.

Students in Stacy Sommer’s and Yvon Amer’s kindergarten classes at the Franklin Early Childhood Center in the Hewlett-Woodmere School District were asked by a resident to assist families in need at the Boys and Girls Club in Far Rockaway.
Guided by their teachers, the kids jumped right in to help. They made signs and boxes around the school to promote their charitable effort. After three weeks, the students collects about 100 coats.
