Grant Park ice rink opens on Nov. 25

Nassau County’s outdoor ice rink at Grant Park, 1625 Broadway in Hewlett, will open for the 2016-2017 season on Nov. 25.

The rink provides skate rentals, public skating sessions, lessons, ice hockey sessions and opportunities to rent the space for birthday parties and other events. Grant Park’s ice rink has been replaced and improved with new boards and new chilling systems.

The skating fees for the rink are: $8 for resident adult with a leisure pass, $22 for an adult without the leisure pass, $6 for a resident child age 17 and under, $15 for a child, 17 and under, without the leisure pass, $5 for veterans, disabled people, seniors, firefighters, ambulance corps and auxiliary police with a leisure pass and $5 to rent skates.

Grant Park’s ice skating rink will close at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 31. It will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2017. It will remain open through March. For more information about the rink, call (516) 571-7821.
