Gural JCC honors supporters and volunteers at Lawrence gala

The Mansion in Lawrence on the Harrison-Kerr Family Campus was decked out in all its finery as the Marion and Aaron Gural JCC held its annual gala on July 12 and honored five people, three of which live in the Five Towns.

Toby Wolf was the recipient of the Person of the Year Award and Irina Vainblat received the Lifetime Service Award. Vainblat is the associate executive director of the Gural JCC’s Russian Division.

Michael Cohen was given the Harrison-Kerr Community Achievement Award. Cohen is the Eastern director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Manhattan.

Edward Fraser, vice president of Community Relations at Northwell Health and Kenneth Long, vice president of Administration at Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital both received the Community Partner Award.

The Gala Committee included Lenore Davis, Chumi Diamond, Dov Feldman, Sharon Fogel, Yael Friedland, Judith Glikman, Jane Gural-Senders, Carol Harrison, Alissa Hersh, David Kaye, Perri Kaye, Michael Kerr, Irene Kofman, Aliza Lieberman, Yehuda Mor, Michael Papilsky, Michael Rattner, Mark Schlossberg, Miriam Slomovits, Craig Spatz, Rosalind Spodek, Arnold Waldman, Gerald Wolf and Myrna Zisman.
