Tamara Heller, a senior at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway (HAFTR) was selected as one of only 20 Long Island Scholar-Artist Award of Merit winners in the 2013-2014 Scholar-Artist program.
The program is sponsored by the Long Island Arts Alliance. Heller will receive her award at a gala at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on the LIU Post campus.
Heller is a member of HAFTR High School’s Art Institute that is under the direction of Dale Malekoff. The award was based on grades, extra-curricular activities and the submission of a portfolio.
