The HALB sixth grade boys basketball team raises their trophy after capping off an undefeated season with a 46-29 win over Westchester Day School on March 18 at North Shore Hebrew Academy in Great Neck.
The Hebrew Academy of Long Beach (HALB) Elementary School sixth grade boys’ basketball team capped off an undefeated season last week with a Metropolitan Yeshiva Day School Basketball League Junior Varsity championship over Westchester Day School 46-29 at North Shore Hebrew Academy in Great Neck.
HALB finished the season 12-0 but it was their performance off the court that most impressed Rabbi Jeremy Feder, the yeshiva's director of programs. "More than an undefeated season their acts of sportsmanship and camaraderie surpass even the greatest teams we have had," said Feder.
