Fair Hewlett firefighters march in 4th Battalion parade

East Rockaway Fire Department hosted the 4th Battalion Parade on June 24, and the Hewlett firefighters, above, marched with their South Shore peers.

The Hewlett Fire Department, which is part of the 3rd Battalion, took part in the 4th Battalion Parade hosted by the East Rockaway Fire Department on June 24.
Lakeview, Lynbrook, Malverne, and Rockville Centre fire departments are also part of the 4th Battalion. The Oceanside and Island Park departments were also invited participants.
All the departments were judged for first, second and third place for three different categories: Best Appearing Overall Fire Department, For Best Appearing Band and For Best Appearing Junior Fire Department. Rockville Centre won overall honors.
