Kristen DeCicco, a senior at Hewlett High School, signed her national letter of intent to play lacrosse for the women’s team and attend Le Moyne College in Syracuse next fall.

The Dolphins play at the Division II level and their schedule for the upcoming 2017 season includes games against LIU Post and Adelphi.

DeCicco is a three-sport athlete who captain’s the girls’ varsity lacrosse and volleyball teams and plays basketball as well. The Hewlett resident is also an All-County athlete and a honor student.

According to her mother, Stephanie DeCicco, Kristen began playing lacrosse in the fourth grade, when she joined PAL lacrosse and then played for FLG lacrosse. Kristen has played on Hewlett High’s varsity team since eighth grade. She plans to study biology and become a physician’s assistant, her mother said.

“[She is] a great kid, who is a leader on and off the field,” said Hewlett lacrosse coach Robyn Pastuch.
