Joseph Cavataio, from Hewlett, achieved the Eagle Scout rank — the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program — and was congratulated by Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano at a ceremony in the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building in Mineola on May 31.
“It is a great year when we can honor so many Eagle Scout Award recipients from the boy scouting program here in Nassau,” Mangano said. “All of these award recipients earned their recognition through hard work and dedication throughout the years. You should be extremely proud of your accomplishments.”
