Hewlett welcomes the Christmas season

Posted

There was singing by the Hewlett High School chorale, candy canes, hot chocolate, a substantial crowd and, of course, Santa Claus, as the Hewlett-Woodmere Business Association buoyed by local support celebrated the season with its annual Christmas tree lighting at the Veterans Memorial Triangle in Hewlett on Dec. 5.

Barry V. Goldstein Associates donated the ornaments adorning the tree and Rozana Zemlyansky and Sara Feldman of V.I. Properties supplied the hot cocoa, and other goodies, the HWBA donated the candy canes and additional support came from the Knights of Columbus of St. Joseph R.C. Church, also in Hewlett.
