The Inwood Buccaneers in conjunction with the Football Position Academy held a youth football clinic at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway (HAFTR) Middle School in Lawrence on Sunday, March 21.

The Football Position Academy was founded by former Inwood Buccaneer Vaughn Sanders, who went on to be a star running-back at Lawrence High School and Hofstra University, and Tyree Allison, who also played football at Hofstra. The Academy was founded with the idea of helping young athletes prepare for the next level of competition.

The Inwood Buccaneers, which have been serving the Five Towns community for over 60 years in football (tackle and flag), soccer, basketball and cheerleading, are planning another Football Position Academy youth clinic on May 15 at a site to be determined.
