Kulanu honors eight at annual scholarship dinner

Kulanu Center for Special Services in Cedarhurst recognized the Glaubach family, Ariel and Baruch, Monica and Simeon and Cory and Jonathan, Jonathan Cooper, Kulanu’s director of Inclusion and Community Support Services and HAFTR senior Rachel Schreiber held its annual scholarship dinner fundraiser at The Sands in Atlantic Beach on Dec. 16.

The Glaubachs received the Amudei Chesed Award for dedicating the state-of-the-art Snoezelen Sensory Room. Cooper was presented with the Professional Achievement Award for his work in building tolerance and friendships. For spending the past 10 years on Sunday mornings as a shadow and friend at Kulanu’s Activities Inclusion Program, Schreiber received the Volunteer Recognition Award.

Comic Elon Gold entertained and there was a sports memorabilia auction. Proceeds benefit Kulanu’s specialized programs and services.
