Lawrence resident creates Brie to Bagels for heath care workers

Posted

Lawrence resident Taylor Roslyn, a junior at the Ramaz Upper School in Manhattan, has taken to baking to help feed frontline health care workers by making dozens of matzo bries during Passover vacation she took her Brie to Bagels creations to Mt. Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside.

Roslyn, 16, is an honors student and aspiring chemical engineer, who is has a full day of learning through Zoom and virtually practicing and performing with the Ramaz chamber choir. With her lengthy school commute eliminated because of coronavirus pandemic she geared up in a used safety mask made from old plaster and oil paint projects and delivered the food to what was described as an “appreciative hospital staff.”

She has since prepared and donated dozens of pancakes and French toast. Roslyn is contacting local bagel shops for donations and other volunteers to grow Brie to Bagels.
