LIRR Inwood service resumes

Westbound Long Island Rail Road service from Inwood to Far Rockaway has resumed following the end of a New York City police investigation in an area adjacent to the Far Rockaway station, LIRR spokesman Aaron Donovan said.

Service at Far Rockaway was restricted at 8:30 a.m. and shuttle buses were provided to get passengers from Inwood to Far Rockaway. Eastbound trains were unaffected, Donovan said.
