LIRR service suspended at Inwood

As of 8:30 a.m. this morning westbound Long Island Rail Road service was suspended at Inwood as access to the Far Rockaway station was restricted due to police activity, according to LIRR spokesman Aaron Donovan.

Shuttle buses are being provided to get westbound passengers at Inwood to Far Rockaway. Eastbound trains are unaffected by the situation, Donovan said.
