The Long Island Philharmonic presents an all-choral program highlighting the Long Island Philharmonic Chorus, Saturday, June 5, at 8 p.m., at Adelphi University’s Performing Arts Center. “Voices by Candlelight” is an intimate evening of beloved choral music, featuring the chorus in its own concert for the first time.

In this packed program, the chorus performs in a range of forms, beginning with quartets then building up to the full chorus. Highlights include Bach’s beautiful motet “Jesu, meine Freude,” Brahms’ “Liebeslieder Walzer,” Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols,” selections from Aaron Copeland’s opera “The Tender Land,” and Randall Thompson’s masterpiece, “The Peaceable Kingdom.”

Chorus Director Frances C. Roberts leads the chorus, along with Music Director and Conductor David Stewart Wiley, Assistant Conductor Joseph Owens, and accompanied by pianist Stephanie D. Watt.

Tickets are $50, available at (631) 293-2222 or www.liphilharmonic.org. Adelphi University Performing Arts Center, South Ave., Garden City.
