LWA’s class of 2013 graduates

Lawrence Woodmere Academy’s 89th graduating class took their final Upper School bows and received their high school diplomas as 37 students that make up the class of 2013 took part in the ceremony on June 10.

Robert Wallace Jr., a 1974 LWA graduate, was the commencement speaker. Wallace, a graduate of Yale University and Georgetown Law School, served for 16 years with the St. Louis Rams as the team’s executive vice president and general counsel. He has taught sports law at both Washington and St. Louis universities schools of law.

LWA’s Young Alumni Award was given to Bran Rogak a 2001 graduate. In 2011, while deployed in Afghanistan, Rogak began teaching baseball to the Afghani children. As word spread and the program grew, he received equipment donations from the New York Mets, baseball radio personalities, a Little League group and several other organizations. He returned from active duty this year.
