Man assaulted, robbed in Inwood

Two men of a group of up to a half dozen, got out of a gray sport utility vehicle on Mott Avenue near Lawrence Avenue in Inwood, and hit a man, 24, who was walking on Mott Avenue, and took an undetermined amount of money from him at 5:50 a.m. on June 1, according to police.

The vehicle initially passed the man, then made a U-turn and stopped. The men got back in the vehicle, which headed west on Mott Avenue. The man’s face was bruised.
