Meeting prospective students at DRS

More than 200 prospective students and their parents attended the annual Davis Renov Stahler (DRS) Yeshiva High School for Boys on Nov. 13 that was held in the school’s state-of-the-art building in Woodmere and provided attendees with information and stimulating program.

DRS Menahel, Rabbi Yisroel Kaminetsky, faculty members, and current DRS students greeted everyone who attended as they entered the school, and then Rabbi Kaminetsky and General Studies Principal, Dr. Gerald Kirshenbaum, spoke, stressing the school’s strengths, which includes personal attention to each student and a caring environment, along with its camaraderie between classmates, who come to DRS from more than 20 different elementary schools, and several different neighborhoods, including the Five Towns, West Hempstead, Queens, Brooklyn and Great Neck.

The potential students attended the extra-curricular student where they learned about what DRS has to offer outside the classroom ranging from the karate club to sports teams and trips. Parents heard about the curriculum and Advanced Placement classes from faculty members, asked questions of current students and meet administrators.
