Santa Claus made his appearance in Cedarhurst at the annual village Christmas tree lighting.

The traditional bonfire and freshly roasted chestnuts, along with plenty of hot chocolate and cookies were part of the annual Cedarhurst village Christmas celebration at Andrew J. Parise Cedarhurst Park on Dec. 12.
Carolers from St. Joachim’s Church, St. Joseph’s Church and Our Lady of Good Counsel led the singing of the seasonal songs as Mayor Benjamin Weinstock led the count down the tree lighting and the arrival of Santa Claus, who, for the safety of everyone said hello from the back of Lawrence-Cedarhurst fire truck.
