Mike Byrne named aide to the grand marshal of NYC St. Patrick's Parade

Mike Byrne, past president of the Five Towns Division 3 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and current president of the Nassau AOH County Board, was one of the guests of honor at a reception for the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade 2010 Grand Marshal, who is NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly, and his 14 Aides, who represent different Irish-American organizations around the region.

Byrne is the Nassau County Aide to the Grand Marshal for this year, the 249th marching of the NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 17. Mike's family, and officers and members of Division 3 from the Five Towns, as well as Hibernians from all around Nassau, attended to help Mike celebrate the honor of his being named an Aide to the Grand Marshal. More than 700 people gathered for the reception.
