Ogden Elementary School lights up the night

Holiday images lit up the night of Dec. 15, as Ogden Elementary School in Valley Stream put on what parents and school officials dubbed a “a mini Jones Beach light show” to help celebrate the holiday season in a healthy and safe manner because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Along with the lights there was a dancing dreidel, Mrs. Claus, and snowman. Elf Snack Packs that include hot chocolate, marshmallow toppers, chocolate Gelt, Kwanzaa coloring activity and a blue and white cookies were handed out, a DJ spun holiday music, A Hewlett Fire Department truck was also lit up and there was  fresh personal pizzas from the Neapolitan Pizza Truck.

Ogden Elementary School led by Principal Dina Anzalone and its PTA led by co-Presidents Nicole Eliopoulos and Syreeta Jackson coordinated the event. Hewlett firefighter Ethan Lahey set up the lights.
