Police nab Woodmere man for fake policy

After selling a 59-year-old Great Neck woman a term life insurance policy, Sheldon M. Bressler, of Woodmere, then used the personal information to open an additional whole life insurance policy in the victim’s name, according to police.

Bressler, an Allen Road resident and a sales agent for Mass Mutual Insurance Company in Melville, was placed under arrest on Nov. at 4:45 p.m. by Third Squad detectives.

He is charged with two counts of forgery-second degree, two counts of identity theft-first degree and two counts of falsifying business records-first degree.
